  • Summarize your user research. Build an idea or persona of your typical user(s) with as detailed data as possible such as age range, gender, and job title.
  • Summarize your analytics. Take note of your current state of your site and formalize specific goals for increased metrics.
  • Summarize desired functionality. Through your competitor and other website research describe any desired future features for your site .
  • Compile your design direction to the best of your ability. This can be difficult, so just do your best. It could be as simple a a short list of sites you like and why, or as detailed as images, mood boards and colours. The more background you bring to the project the more context the designer gains and the better equipped to solve your problem.
